Big Build 2010 ~ News



	Habitat for Humanity are building houses in Belfast (Madrid Street) and WOMEN'STEC were lucky enough to be offered a day working on site. It was a great experience for the eight women who participated. They helped tile the three storey high roof, passing the tiles up by hand, it was a hard day's work but great fun. Everyone had a very uplifting experience and they all agreed they would do it again. Hopefully we will get a few more days on site so if you are interested connect Niamh at WOMEN'STEC.
We are delighted that Christine Skeffington will be going to Romania for one week with Habitat for Humanity in October of this year. During this time Christine will be part of a team that will assist 12 families building houses, building community and building hope in Beius, Romania. To take part in the Big Build 2010 you will need to raise £1650 per person, this is a massive undertaking. So we are looking for some help and teamwork to help Christine achieve this goal. We will be organising some fundraisers which are always great fun, so if you are interested and have some spare time on your hands, please contact Helen or Niamh at WOMEN'STEC.
