Women'sTec is certainly an innovative place to come to learn a diverse variety of skills.
I came to Northern Ireland from Spain were I was working as an Administrative Assistant for an on-line bank.
I passed by Women'sTec many times never having the courage to go through the door. I was glad when I eventually did.
My name is Cecilia Kennedy and I started the WOMEN'STEC in 2005 after hearing about it from a friend.
During the Peace and Reconciliation training we had opportunities to discuss various issues such as Diversity, Sexual Orientation, Po;itics and International Wars.
Since starting this course I have become more confident in working and using the computer
Have completed a boiler manitenance course encouraged by WOMEN'STEC and am presently half way through my first year of training to be an electrician.
I have completed the Introduction to ebay and Digital Devices course at the WOMEN'STEC. The environment and the facilities are excellent and so designed to maximise the learning experience.
Ive been out of work for many years and WOMEN'STEC has been a great stepping stone to enable me to get back into the environment of learning and training.
The relaxed learning atmosphere is fabulous and having a free creche was crucial for me being able to study.
I have met some special people and look forward to each week for the social and learning experience.
I thought this would be a good way to further my education and also gain a world wide recognised qualification by completing the ECDL course.
The staff at womenstec are very friendly and I enjoy the relaxed atmosphere during the class
I'm doing Introduction to the Internet & Email course offered by WOMEN'STEC which I'm really enjoying.
My name is Roberta Gray I started attending WOMEN'STEC in Sept 07. I am currently doing the A+ course - I am finding the course hard but enjoyable.
I have really enjoyed the Internet & Email course and I'm sorry the class is coming to an end.
During my time at WOMEN'STEC I have been able to experience using new tools and techniques.
I was nervous at the idea of going back to study, but found the whole process enjoyable.
After being introduced to WOMEN'STEC, I found it to be a very welcoming atmosphere and I quickly felt at home.
Researching the topics and being in a classroom environment has been good for me and I now feel that it has prepared me to further education.
