I signed up for a course in non-traditonal trades and haven’t looked back
I had been staying in Women’s Aid in North Belfast with my 3 children when I first came accross WOMEN’STEC. I did a short course at the time but until I was settled in my own house I couldn’t take it any further. Then I was contacted about a course that offered me sampling and careers advice in non traditional trades. I signed up for a course and haven’t looked back, actually haven’t had the time to.
I’m completing my Level 3 in Carpentry and Joinery at Belfast Metropolitian College,. Its been a lot of hard work but I’ve throughly enjoyed it all. When I finish my studies I am looking forward to doing some paid work.
